Albertsons

I still haven't decided on Albertson's so go here to see some really good deals and comment and let me know what you got, maybe it will help me with my decisions!

Toys R US

Okay so usually I do not go to Toys R Us, the deal has to be AMAZING, why, you may ask? The answer is because the store is an hour away, but this week I am going! Why you may ask? Because I can get an AMAZING deal on games! Here is how it works:

Buy 7 games priced $3.99 (candy land, chutes and ladders, memory, don't break the ice, don't spill the beans etc.)
Pay $27.93 plus tax
Get a $10 gift card to Toys R Us
Submit for $2 rebate PER game= $14 off
Meaning if you factor it all in I can get 7 games for $3.93 plus tax!

I am super excited are you (mostly because we don't have any of these games and they would be great to play with Sarah!)?!?

Way Excited about Fred Meyer!

I am way excited about the Fred Meyer deals this week and not because there are amazing food deals, no but because I can get a Mr. and a Mrs. Potato Head for $1.15 each (may be cheaper)! Oh my is that exciting! So here is my list and if you want information on other deals just check out The Coupon Project

18 count eggs $1.50 (limit 4) in ad coupon (I have an extra ad so if you need it comment!)
Broccoli $.68/lb
Private Selection boneless half ham $2.99 (I have been wanting some ham and this is the best deal I can see, I will probably freeze half of it for later)

Now for the non food items:
Nature Bounty vitamins B1G1 Free (I am pretty sure there were coupons for these in last weeks Sunday paper, remember you can use 2 coupons!)
Layering tees and everyday tees and camis are all B1G1 (I kind of need these!)

Mr and Mrs. Potato Head B1G1 $6.99
Use 10% off coupon from in ad (expires on WED) (they may take only $.69 OR $1.38 it will depend on the checker!)
Use 2 of the $2/1 coupons from Coupons.com

Let me know how everyone's transactions work out on the Potato Heads!

Taking the week off

I am sorry to announce that I am taking the week off. Why one would ask and here are the reasons:
1. I feel like the deals just aren't amazing enough for me to worry about going and getting stuff (though I have some RR's to use at Walgreen's so I may have to think about it at some point!)
2. We are sort of in the middle of a family crisis. Sarah's allergy tests came back with her being allergic to dairy, eggs and wheat, can anybody says Celiac's Disease. So we will probably be doing more testing and I just don't feel like stockpiling stuff we won't be able to use.
3. I have way too much going on this week!

So here is what I have decided that I will purchase

Fred Meyers
Organic carrots 5 for $5
Organic fuji apples 98 cents a lb
5 lb bag of Mandarins for $4.77
Del Monte Vegetables with in ad coupon of 2/$1 plus stacked with manufacture coupon of $1/5 (from September I think!)
Any meat with coupons on it

Albertson's
Chicken boneless skinless breats for $1.77/lb (krazy coupon lady has a preview!)
Any meat with coupons on it

Walgreen's
I will probably just use my RR's to get some Vitamin D, you always need some!

AMAZING NEWS!

Okay so I don't know how many people got in on the following deal, but it just got sweeter!

I ordered the Discovery Kids 3 piece tent set from Overstock.com for $19.99 (wonderful gift for a 3 year old!). It came with the dome tent and a teepee tent as well as a little tunnel to connect the two. The list price was $79.99, so I saved $60. Plus I got FREE shipping. I thought that this was a great deal! Well today they called to let me know that the teepee was not sent and that they don't have any more (I received the box two weeks ago, but haven't opened it yet). So what did they do, they are letting me keep what I was sent AND are refunding me the whole $19.99! I can't even believe it! I hope that some others were able to get in on this!

Fred Meyer

There are some good things going on at Fred Meyer this week. If you don't get the Sunday paper run today and get the ad so that you can get all the good coupons! Here is what I am looking to get:

Foster Farm Whole Chicken $.69 a lb (perfect for boiling and canning, or roasting like a turkey)

1/2 Gallon of milk or orange juice 10 for $10 and limit 10 with in ad coupon (both of which you can freeze, and only a good deal if cheaper to get two than a gallon. Also you don't have to get 10.)

Snuggle and All detergent $2.99 with in ad coupon limit 2
Combine with the $3/1 Snuggle coupon (yep you get it for FREE!) and the $1/1 All coupon both from the RP 10/4 insert

Kashi is 40% off using in ad coupon (I got a number of $1.50/1 coupons for cereal we will see if it is a good deal or not)

Renu trial size $1.99 (I just found this out and I found some $2/1 printables so I will probably get a few!)

If you want to see some other deals go here

Rite Aid

I am so excited about Rite Aid this week it really isn't funny! Even though the out of pocket is quite a bit, $45.66 PLUS tax, you can make $28.03. That is right folks you will get it all back! I am lovin' it! So even though there are products that I don't really need, I do know a few people with dentures and other places that will accept donations, so I will pretty much be getting all of the following. Also I got this weeks match ups from here. I usually look at this blog every week and it always has some good ideas, but this week she has outdone herself, or maybe it was Rite Aid, probably both!

ALSO remember this is your last week to qualify for the FALL SAVINGS! Even if you started this week and you did all 4 scenarios you would have $85.12 towards the fall for savings and you would only need $14.88 (you could grab an Airwicks I motion thing (12.98) which is 50% off and use a $6 off coupon meaning you pay $.49 and then grab something worth $2 and then you would qualify for the $20 gift card and you would have spent around $48 plus tax. Bottom line you spent $48 (plus tax) got $100 worth of product AND got $73.66 back in rebates AND a $20 gift card ($93.66 back total))

Albertsons

All right I will admit that I am waiting until after Sunday just in case there are doubler coupons (though even without them these are some really good deals!)

Buy 8

Quaker Chewy Granola bars $1
Buy 2
Use $1/2 (in Utah they aren't allowed to use this coupon I am going to try it, I got mine from redplum.com)
OR use $.75/2 from the newspaper
Bottom line=$.50 a box

Wonka Halloween Candy fun size $2
Buy 2
Use (2) $1/1 from nestle.com

$10
-$3 instant savings
-$7 in coupons
FREE pasta and gloves for me!)

Emerald Nuts
Buy 5
Use (5) $1/1 (feedyourfingers.com/coupons.aspx)
Bottom line= $.40

So for everything I should be able to pay $35.93 plus tax on the non food items. I will report back after I do the shopping to let you know how it goes!

Also if there are doublers then I would probably use them on the Wonka candy and the all detergent (though I guess it really doesn't matter it will just end up taking $3 off my total)

Rite Aid

I am actually thinking of not going this week, YIKES, I know. If I do go I will just be getting some Kotex pads. If you aren't in need of anything and live closer to a Rite Aid than I do you can check out Dealseekingmom.com to find out how you can make a few bucks this week.

Fred Meyer

So this week at Fred Meyer I bought the following:

Sour Cream and Cottage Cheese $.99

Arm and Hammer Laundry Detergent 2/$7
Used $2.99 in ad coupon
Used $1/2 from armandhammer.com
Final price: $2.49

Breyers Ice Cream 2/$5 (I am addicted!)

Organic baby peeled Carrots 5 for $5

Also Fred Meyer has Buy One Get One Free on some DVDs, I found Little Women, Persuasion, Annie, and Driving Miss. Daisy. They also had Sleepless in Seattle, so if you are looking for Christmas presents or birthday these are a great buy. Each DVD mentioned was $9.99, so I got four DVDs for $19.98.

Walgreens

So this week at Walgreens isn't as exciting as last week, so I am just going to do monthly RR deals from last week. I am also going to be checking out the prices on Dove because they have a buy 8 get $10 RR and I have a TON of dove coupons, so I will post back when I find out the best way to do the Dove deal! If you found a great Walgreens deal let us know!

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

In case anyone wanted to know this will take me over the $100 for the Fall promotion-spend $100 get a $20 gift card to Rite Aid. In the end I will have spent no more than $20. This means that I got everything from the September posts and in this post for FREE plus made money on all of them. I love Rite Aid!

Walgreens Sep 28-Oct 3

I am taking this list right from Pinching your Pennies because I sat for an hour trying to figure something out only to look at their blog and find something that worked better, so here it is:

This is week is a little tricky so remember these rules: 1) You can’t use a Register Reward to pay for an item from the same company or another register reward wont print. 2) You can’t use more coupons then items, so when you plan on using a register reward and a coupon on 1 item put in a cheap filler.

Transaction #1
Buy: Oral-B Advantage 1-2-3 Toothbrush (P&G) $2.99
And Robitussin 2pk (Wyeth) $2.49
Use: Oral B Advantage 1-2-3 Toothbrush .75/1 in P&G 9/27
Pay: $4.74 + tax
Get: $5.50 in register rewards ($3 from Oral-B, $2.50 from Robitussin)

Transaction #2
Buy: Vaseline Sheer infusion Lotion (Uilever) $6.99
And Halls Refresh Sugar Free (Cadbury Adams) $1
And $0.01 filler if using $1 halls coupon
And a total of 2 fillers because you cant have more couopns/RR then items
Use: $1.50/1 here
And Halls $1/1 single bag Halls refresh single bag (11/7/09) SS- 9/27/09)
Use RR: $5.50 from transaction #1
Pay: filler item price + tax
Get: $8 in Register Rewards ($7 from Vaseline, $1 from Halls)

Transaction #3
Buy: Emergen-C 2pk Booster (alcer): $3.49
And Gillette Fusion MVP Manual or Power Razor system (P&G) $8.99
And 1 Filler
Use: Gillette Fusion Razor, any $4/1 (10-31-09) PG-9/27
Use RR: $8 from transaction #2
Pay: $0.48 + tax
Get: $9.50 in Register Rewards ($6 from Gillette, $3.50 from Emergen-C)

Transaction #4
Buy: Dentex Dental Care, floss 55yrds, or 35 pk floss picks (dentex)$2.00
And Chapstick Fresh Effects (Wyeth) $2.99
Use: $1/1 Floss picks HERE
Use RR: $3.50 from Transaction #3 (Splurge, use that $6 RR from transaction #3 on something else you need or save it for next weeks. Pat yourself on the back you just made $6!)
Pay: $0.49 + tax
Get: $5 in register rewards ($2 from Dentex, $3 from Chapstick)

Then start back at Transaction #1 and repeat! Most Walgreens limit RR items to 1 per day per customer so I go back everyday and do the transactions above!

Total Out of Pocket: $5.68 + tax and you still leave with $11 in Register rewards!!

Albertsons

So I have to be honest and say that I am having a hard time with Albertson's lately. Mostly because we are trying to eat better and it seems that all their good deals are for things we don't eat anymore like cookies and sugary cereals. But someone on another blog found here mentioned that she got Jet Dry (there is a link to the coupon in her post) and ended up getting a catalina as well, so I will probably be doing the following:

Transaction #1:
Buy 3 Jet Dry $3.49
Use 3 $.75/1 coupons
Use 3 doublers
Use $5 catalina from Campbells deal (we wanted to try the select harvest tomato)
Total OOP: $.49
Get 3 catalinas for $1.25 ONYV= $3.75

I will probably do the above twice and then use the $3.75 to pay for the second transaction. So in the end I will pay $2.23 for 6 Jet Dry's and have $3.75 to use next week. (let us cross our fingers that something good will go on sale like green beans, or something that isn't kraft or kellogg!)

If you don't want to do what I am doing (which is probably going to be most of you!) check out Krazy Coupon Lady's list that she has going here.

Update on Walgreens

So I ended up buying esencia shampoo because it was Buy One Get One Free and they had a Mail in Rebate form on them. Which means I get both for free! So then I only ended up with $4.50 in RRs for next week, but hey FREE SHAMPOO! (Also both of my bottles had it but it is only one per household so the first person who reads this and emails me (or comments) and they need one (a mail in rebate) will get it.

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Walgreens September 20-26

I will probably end up getting the following:

Roots of Nature $6
Get $6 RR
FREE

Thermacare Heat wrap $2.49
Use $1/1 coupon here
Get $2.49 RR
$1 moneymaker

Oral-B Indicator Toothbrush, 2/$4
Use BOGO Oral-B Indicator Manual Toothbrush (RP 8/23/09)
Get $2 RR
FREE

Children’s Benadryl, $4.99
$1/1 Benadryl Children’s Allergy Product, exp. 12-31-09 (RP 8/23/09)
$1/1 Benadryl Children’s Allergy Product, exp. 11-2-09 (SS 8/2/09)
$1/1 Bendaryl Walgreens coupon (Healthy Savings Booklet)
Get $5 in RR
$.98 for both!

Tylenol Cold, $5.99
$2/1 Tylenol Cold here
$1/1 Tylenol Walgreens Coupon (Healthy Savings Booklet)
Get $5 RR
$0.49 each!

So I will probably do the following transactions:

Transaction #1:
Children's Benadryl $5.98 OR Tylenol (haven't decided what I need most)
Thermacare Heat Wrap $1.49
2 filler items (that way I can use RR's to pay for the purchase, hopefully packets that are 8 cents!)
Use a $5 RR from last week and a $2 RR from last week
Pay 63 cents plus tax
Get $5 RR and $2.49 RR

Transaction #2:
Roots of Nature $6
Oral B Toothbrush $2
Use $5 RR from transaction #1 and $3 RR from last week
Pay tax
Get $6 RR and $2 RR

So I will end this week with $.49 more in RR's than I started with making $10.49 for next week. (Last week I did more transactions and only ended up with $10 in RR, BUT I did get a ton of free stuff!)

Fred Meyer

This is what I will be getting at Fred Meyer:

3 of the Foster Farms Whole Fryer chickens (at 69 cents a pound I just can't resist, not totally organic I know, but pretty close! Last time I had one of these I just put it in the crock pot with some EVOO and seasoning. Then it feed the family for 3-4 days. Tasted great on a salad and wrapped in a tortilla. Also we were able to make our own chicken broth with the bones. So I say really good deal! )

Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Pasta or Smart taste $1
Use $1/2
bottom line= 50 cents (Same price at Albertson's IF you use a doubler)

Also the ad seemed to hint that there were other really good deals, so it might be worth it to wander the store and see what you can see. If you get a good deal comment to let us all know!

Rite Aid More September 20-26th

Other deals that I took part in at Rite Aid this week are as follows:

Huggies wipes 2/$5

Albertson's August 19-25

It seems that people in the shopping world are forgetting a few things with this weeks Albertson's ad. So instead of being disappointed that there really is just the General Mills buy $20 get $5 remember that the Nature Valley Granola bars also have a catalina and so do the Betty Crocker fruit snacks.
So here are a few ideas:
Buy 5 Nature Valley bars
Buy 4 Honey Nut Cheerios
Total=20.5
-$2 (use 5 .40/1 for Nature Valley bars coupons from coupons.com-you will need 3 computers!)
-$2.20 (use 4 .55/1 for Honey Nut Cheerios from coupons.com-you need two computers!)
Total out of pocket=$16.30
Total to use on next visit=$8.50

Buy 5 Betty Crocker fruit shape fruit snacks
Buy 4 Honey Nut Cheerios
Total=$20.50
-$2 (use 5 .40/1 for fruit shape fruit snacks coupons from coupons.com-you will need 3 computers!)
-$2.20 (use 4 .55/1 for Honey Nut Cheerios from coupons.com-you need two different computers from above, so 4 total!)
Total out of pocket=$16.30
Total to use on next visit=$8.50

So in two visits you spend $32.60 and earn $17 to use on your next visit.
Personally I think that spending $15.60 for 8 boxes of cereal, 5 boxes of granola bars and 5 boxes of fruit snacks is not to shabby!

Also coupons.com also has $1/1 coupons on the Scott toilet paper and paper towels. If you find any other coupons out there that will help make this deal sweeter let everyone know!

News from Kelloggs!

Okay so I know a lot of you are doing the Kellogg rebate and I just had to share this information from Hot Coupon World:

Someone has called Kelloggs about the different address listed on different forms and they said that it is one per household per address. So it sounds like you can do this more than once! I am thinking that I will do it three times, the online form, the redplum form (which I have extras if someone needs one!) and the one that I think can be found in Albertson's. This is a great way to stock up on cereal for my family!

Here are the four different rebates that are known

1 - online form
2 - redplum 8/2 form
3 - form in various store circulars (Kmart and Shaws that I know of but I'm sure more)
4- coupon booklet in stores with "fuel for school" display

They all go to different P.O. boxes and it has been confirmed with Kellogg's that you can do all 4 rebates.

Krazy Deals

This week I am once again looking to the Krazy Coupon Lady for help and inspiration. So thank-you! She has all the information on Rite Aid and Walgreen's this week, along with Fred Meyer (for my Battle Ground friends!) and Smith's (for my Utah friends!). I haven't been yet, but people from Utah are saying that there are a ton of tear pads regarding these items, so keep your eye out! There is also a rumor about a yellow book with coupons AND 2 more $20 mail in rebates! (Someone posted at Hot Coupon World that you can get these at Fred Meyer, so I will be headed there in a little bit to see!) (Haven't found it yet, so if someone in Battle Ground finds it let us know where!)

In fact someone was nice enough to point out this scenario on Hot Coupons World:

For one of the rebates, you have to buy 10 crackers or cookies, 5 capri sun and 5 individual easy mac cups.

So you could buy 10 Go Cups @ 1.00 each, 5 capri suns @ 2.00 each, and 5 easy mac cups @ 1.00 each in one transaction, filling all requirements for the rebate. That's $25 so you would get the $5 oyno. This can be a money maker if you have coupons for the above items!

I am probably going to do the above (and then end up with the easy mac that we won't use so email me if you want them!) in one transaction and then buy a bunch of Ritz and Wheat Thins and maybe a few Teddy Grahms (we call these treats at our house and Sarah loves them!) in another transaction. That way I end up with 2 $5 on your next visits and the original receipts to send in for the rebates.

Check here to see the problems with this promo.

How I did this week

Okay so I don't know how much money exactly that I have saved, but I have my totals of out of pocket and Catalina money from Albertson's with a list off all I got so here we go!

5-48 oz Breyer's ice cream
5-Nature Valley Nut Clusters
8-All Laundry detergent
11-Dove shampoo
8-Degree DO for Men
6-Suave DO for men
4-Bounce Dryer Bars
1-Dawn dish detergent
9-Suave Shampoo
4-Caress Body wash
2-Nivea Body wash
6-Dove Body wash
7-Suave mousse
9-Suave hairspray
6-10 Vaseline lotion (I haven't finished shopping and am not sure the price on the size I need to get!)
12-Q-tips (I had to buy a different size!)
16-Kleenex
12-Dove DO for women
16-Skippy Natural Peanut Butter

I have spent a grand total of $167.5-171.5 (depends on vaseline lotion).
I have earned a grand total of $224 in catalina money at Albertson's.
I would say that buying 8 newspapers this week at $2 a piece and literally running all over town to get them was totally worth it!

As you can see my emergency supply of shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent, mousse, hairspray, deodorant, kleenex, Q tips, lotion, Dryer sheets/bounce bar, and peanut butter is all taken care of! WAHOOO!

Update on Fred Meyer

Fred Meyer is also running the Honey Bunches of Oats Catalina:

Buy Honey Bunches of Oats cereal between 7/17/09 & 8/9/09
Buy (3) & get $2 OYNO
Buy (4) & get $3 OYNO
Buy (5) or more & get $5 OYNO

You can combine this with the Post Cereal coupon 3/$5. I will have specific when I try this. I tried last night but due to screaming 2 year old and a lack of cereal on the shelves I threw my hands in the air and left!

Hot Coupon World

Check out Hot Coupon World-there is a link on the side bar. They have forums for individual regions of the country, so if something I mention here isn't going on where you are at, see if something else is. Plus they have a ton of information for almost every store you can think of. So check it out!

Albertson's Skippy Natural Peanut Butter

Sorry there will probably be a ton of posts on Albertson's while I try and wrap my head around all of the good deals going on. Also some of these deals end on the 9th so you better hurry in this week.

Skippy NATURAL Peanut Butter (has to be natural!)
Buy 16 at the price of 2/$4
Use 8 $1/2 (OR 5 and you just don't get to use the 3 doubles listed at the end)
Use 3 doubles (Customer Service should have extra of the week's ads, but please just take one each time you need doubles!)
Total out of pocket=$21 if you have all of the regular coupons and use doubles OR $24
Total back in Catalinas=$23

That is right I made $2 more dollars at Albertson's today and got a year supply of Peanut Butter!

Free Glade Plug-ins Offer

Right @ home is offering a FREE Glade Plug-ins Scented Gel Warmer plus a refill to the first 10,000 people to respond here.

You don't even have to pay shipping!!! I did it and it was way easy!!!

Thanks for the deal Utah Deal Diva!!

How did you do???

Sharesa invited me to contribute to her blog!!! So hear it goes..... I started clipping coupons in March, I have loved it!!! It takes some practice, so if you are just starting keep with it!!

Final Price: FREE -$1.17

Albertson's July 29th-August 4th in depth!

Okay so here are a few scenarios for you all to try out!
Dove catalina spend $30 get $15 ONV (CHANGED and UPDATED!!!)
Beauty catalina Spend $30 get $12 ONV

I found a way to combine the two using 2 of yesterday's papers and getting you a total of $27 back ONV (Thanks to Kendra for helping me see the light on this one!)

Buy the following:
7 dove shampoo or conditioner
Total is $34.93
Use 7 $1/1 coupons (dove.com has 1 that you can print twice so use three computers to print 6 and Sunday's paper has one, you could also buy a ton of Sunday papers if you wanted too!)
2 Albertson's double coupons =$1 each
Total out of pocket =$25.93
Total back ONV = $27

YOU MADE MONEY! This equals free groceries!

Ragu deal-who wants a year supply of Ragu? Here is how you can get it for super cheap! Thanks again to Kendra for the heads up!
Click here to get the coupons you need (also I think this is where Kendra saw the deal :).
{BUY 18} Ragu Pasta Sauce 13.5-26oz $1.67
Use 9:
$1.00/2 (IE) - Ragu - (bricks.coupons.com)
$1.00/2 (FF) - Ragu - (bricks.coupons.com)
Use 3 Doublers
Final Price OOP: $18.00
Receive the $15 Catalina
You end up pay (if you factor in the catalina) 17 cents per bottle!

If you don't have doublers (from the Albertson's ad in the middle of the week or it might have been last Sunday) you total is $21 so you end up paying 33 cents per bottle, still not a bad deal in my book! Though if you end up doing the deal Dove deal I mentioned above you would have 2 extra doublers (you can only use 2 on 1 transaction) so you would then be paying 22 cents a bottle. Since the coupon doesn't have a limit on how many you can print, you can keep doing this until you have as many as you need! Just leave some for all of us! (though if there isn't any left in the store, get a rain check!)
